What is a VPN? How does it work?

To help protect your information from hackers, a VPN or Virtual Private Network secures and encrypts the online connection. A VPN can also help improve your online privacy as it makes your IP address invisible to the sites you visit and it makes your online activity invisible to your network provider, ISP or employer. Learn more.

Google One members on a 2 TB or higher plan can enable the VPN from the Google One app. You can download the Google One app from the Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS or the desktop app for Windows or Mac.
